Saturday, April 12 placed BVIS on Grafton’s public calendar for a full day built around Holi—the Festival of Colors and one of the community’s most welcoming spring traditions.

The Town of Grafton’s facility calendar identifies the reservation as “Holi Event BVIS (Blackstone Valley India Society).” The municipal listing is useful historical evidence because it places the organization’s cultural programming directly within the civic life of Grafton.
What Holi represents
Holi is widely associated with spring, color, renewal and friendship. For BVIS, a local Holi program creates an informal point of connection for families and friends while giving the broader community a visible introduction to Indian cultural tradition.
